How to Create a WhatsApp QR Code for Your Business

Help customers start a WhatsApp conversation from a flyer, shop sign, menu or business card with a QR code.

Prepare your WhatsApp number

Use the full international phone number, including country code, without spaces or punctuation in the number field. Check the digits carefully so customers do not land in the wrong chat.

Generate your code

Open the WhatsApp QR Code Generator, enter the number and optionally add a short pre-filled message. The message should be useful and concise, such as asking for a quote or product availability.

Test the complete customer journey

Scan the downloaded code from another phone and confirm that the correct chat opens. Make sure the account is active and that the pre-filled message is appropriate. The customer normally still chooses whether to send the message.

Where to use it

Place the code on business cards, menus, product packaging, receipts, storefront signs and social media graphics. Keep it large enough for the expected scanning distance and include a clear call to action.

Measure results responsibly

If you need to compare campaigns, use different destination links or campaign-specific processes where appropriate. Do not promise that a static QR code itself tracks scans; a normal QR code does not provide scan analytics on its own.
