How to Make a WiFi QR Code for Guests

Make it easier for visitors to join your WiFi without manually typing a network name and password.

Find the correct network details

You need the exact network name (SSID), password, and security type. Network names are case-sensitive in many contexts, so copy them carefully.

Create the WiFi QR code

Open the WiFi QR Code Generator, enter your network details, choose the matching security option, and create the code. Qrifo generates the code in your browser; the QR content itself includes the credentials you enter.

Treat the code like a password

Anyone who can scan a WiFi QR code may be able to use the network. Share it only where appropriate. For public guest access, consider a separate guest network instead of exposing your main personal or business network.

Test it on another device

Scan the code with a device that is not already connected to that network. Confirm that the network name is correct and the phone offers to join. Different devices and network security configurations can behave differently.

Print and display it clearly

Use a high-contrast code, leave clear space around it, and add a short label such as “Scan to join guest WiFi.” If you change the network name or password, create and display a new code.
